The space between the bars is 2.5 inches, and the gate door is 16 inches wide.
Please note that the gate may appear bent before installation, and there may be a gap at the handle before installation. These concerns will be eliminated once the gate is properly installed in your doorway. Measure your opening prior to purchase to ensure a proper fit.
The Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate features a convenient walk-through design, easy pressure-mount setup, and is suitable for children aged 6-24 months, as well as medium to large dogs. The package includes one gate, an instruction manual, and a 6-inch extension kit with four pressure-mounted spindle rods and four wall cups with screws.
The gate expands to fit openings between 29-34 and 35-38.5 inches wide, and stands 30 inches tall. Be sure to measure your opening before purchasing to ensure a proper fit. Note that this gate will not fit an opening between 34-35 inches; an additional 4-inch extension is needed in that case.
To set up the gate, follow the manufacturer's instructions and use the wall cups to keep the gate in place. Never use the gate at the top of stairs to prevent falls.
The gate is adjustable, with the included 6-inch extension kit and four pressure-mount spindle rods, making it perfect for use in doorways, hallways, and at the bottom of stairs. The gate can be quickly removed from the opening for easy storage, and additional extensions are available for purchase separately.
